HEY! I'M SCOTT
Thanks for stopping by to learn more about Engineering Wonder. I am a high school Science and Math teacher. Science and Math education is my passion and I’m excited to share STEM related teaching tips and teacher resources in the hopes that it might be useful to you and your students.
EDUCATION
I hold a degree in Science and Mathematics, as well as a degree in intermediate and senior level Science and Math education. I also hold specialist qualifications in Science education.
I am all about project based learning and creating interdisciplinary learning opportunities that will engage and inspire my students.
Since 2010 I have taught grades 9-12. I’ve held the position of curriculum leader in both Science and Math in different schools. I have also acted as coordinator of an enriched STEM program for a number of years. I love this job and I love collaborating and learning from other teachers.
FAMILY
I live in Toronto with my two amazing kids, an incredibly supportive wife and a Goldendoodle named Mylo. We live next to the lake and we try to get outdoors and enjoy it as much as possible.
In between homework, soccer practices and after school activities we always manage to find a way to come together and connect. Oh and I definitely have a weakness for cookies. One of our fave holiday traditions is to hang out in the kitchen to bake and decorate cookies.
ENGINEERING WONDER
I started Engineering Wonder in 2020 during the lockdown. I suddenly was spending more time on the computer and began sharing my resources.
Fast forward to today and I have discovered that creating teaching resources for other educators is something I love doing. It has absolutely made me a better teacher and I am so enjoying connecting with other educators all over the world.
